Tick-Tock EWWE

So, guess what?! I got a tick on my back! NASTY. Im pretty discusted. But my sister pulled it out so hopefully I wont get lime disease. Anyways, this is just a quick update about my trip. Well, im leaving tomorrow! It isnt turning out to be exactly what i expected but im learning to be okay with that. :) arrivederci

So, amazingly, I have internet access here at our hotel! So, I will fill you in on each day since I left.
Friday:
On friday, I worked my last shift at the fair. Sadness. :/ Even though I dont especially enjoy working with kids (or the lady in charge of kids, we call her the OTHER elisa), Im really sad that I couldn't work the last day. Also, im missing my award ceremony. Bummers. But, Oh well. So, me, angelina, my mama, and alisa drove down to campmeeting after work. It was an enjoyable ride because me and alisa are crazy together. I was trying to do her makeup in the car. lol. I believe I did fairly well. Well, we arived, unloaded, and went to bonfire. Later, me and alisa slept on the same ity bity super tiny cot. :P Yeah, we're best friends.

Saturday:
On saturday, we went to the church tent at campmeeting. But, we left early. The tent was SOOO dusty. It irritated my throat. We had potluck lunch at the patricios and got to see stephen (he is stationed in germany in the military). During the day we took a super long nap. YAY. Well, that evening.....I had a confrontation with alfred! lol. I basically yelled at him. Like super yelled. I made a scene. People were definitly looking. && my new friend I made, john john, saved me from him. It was total movie moment. He walked up and said, "Excuse me, I really need to talk to her. Do you mind if I steal her for a second?". Then he grabbed my hand and walked away with me. It was great. So, I now have a new hero. :P

Sunday:
Today, my family packed up ALL of our camping stuff and left at around 8ish to eat breakfast and leave. So breakfast was amazing. :) We ate at a vegi-vegan place. Then, me and my mom went our seperate way to orientation! It was a super long drive, 6 1/2 hours! Well, we arrived but we had one problem........we couldnt remember the name of our hotel! We knew it was on magnolia street, but we couldnt remember which hotel (there are several on the street). So, I definitly chacha'd and we called many of the hotels only to have them tell us, "sorry, you dont have reservations here". Well, eventually we stopped at a restaurant and used theyre phonebook. && we found our reservations! So, then we went for dinner at a yummy southwestern restaurant. I got enchiladas in a red, almost mole, sauce. Delicious.

Monday:
Orientation!! Well, I was definitly VERY nervous. But, it was actually pretty fun. :) I made some friends/aquaintances. Haha. It was funny. One of their name's was Laura. She's really nice. But.....she's gonna live off campus! Ugh. No roomate. Well, orientation was from 8ish-6. Well, actually 2 but we had other appoitments afterward. I now have a new college ID! :) I am FINALLY getting excited about going. I was slightly dreading it previously. But, I think it'll be okay. Well, after orientation.....we ate at this AMAZING papuseria. It was super delicious and cheap. MMmmm. And its pretty close to my university! After dinner, we went shopping! First, we went to Target. Then, we went to the Tyler mall. It was a VERY nice mall. && It had Forever 21! I got a new wallet. Yes! After that, we went back to our hotel and watched Sydney White. My mom was cracking up. :)

Today:
Well, I woke up pretty up at 6:30ish. && I have been blogging ever since! Well, the plans are for us to eat and leave around 9ish to go drive the 7 hours home........

Overall, I think that my trips were successful. :)

Busy Raquel

So, I havent blogged in a while now. Its because i have been SUPER busy and stuff. But, updates! I no longer have tonsilitus! :) my tonsil popped a whole through my old incision and drained. Nasty! Also, camping was kinda a bummer due to my tonsilitus. But, I did see an old friend Nathaniel who I met the year before. He was looking rather gorgeous! :D Also, I saw an old friend I did not want to see.....alfred. Yucko! Why cant he just leave me be?! && I couldnt tell him off well enough because i could basically barely talk. No bueno. Well, im camping again this weekend so maybe ill have time to do damage. lol. Also, today is the last day of summer school and of my JC!!! Hooray! But im nervous for my final. Please pray! Continueing on, tomorrow is my last day of work and basically the first day of my summer. Its funny how things work out. Well, I probably wont be getting on here for a while since I am camping this weekend then going directly to college orientation! Im nervous! I hope i make friends. Well, thats all for now. :)

"Come on!"

So, I currently feel like that lady from greys who had all the broken bones and she finds out its because of a tumor. Anyways, the reason I havent posted in a while is because I have tonsilitus AGAIN. Second time in two months. && I found out the reason I keep getting them is because I have cryptic tonsils. Come on! Tonsilitus is basically the WORST illness I could get. I love food too much and it makes it so Im always starving but my throat hurts too much for me to eat. Last time I had to get my tonsil lanced. Ewwwe. Well, it is 4:38 in the morning. Yucko. Ive been waking up all night. I think its because i sleep all day so when the night comes around im finally somewhat awake. Plus, I finally ate something for dinner (i hadn't eaten anything all day). So, time to get this thing caught up. Yesterday, or should I say two days ago, I started feeling the signs of tonsilitus so i didnt go to work. It was super hard finishing my hw sick. Later on that day, tristan came over! && he helped me make dinner (yummy pasta salad). I love how we like basically all the same stuff. :) so, I really really hope I didn't get him sick, but he was being too cute (he feels fine so far). Then yesterday, I basically slept all day. I couldnt really do anything else I was too weak from not eating. I have a fast metabolism, so if i miss even one meal I start feeling sick with a bad tummy ache and headache. Today, me, my sister, and mama, are hoping to drive and meet my dad for campmeeting (he's been there since wednesday). So, im hoping I feel up to going. The only drawback is that i probably wont be able to eat anything. Bummer. :/

Creepers

So, today was a usually summer day for me. Work 8-12, then hw. Well, not exactly usuall. I got to eat out with my lovely friend lizzie and her mama && my mama at olive garden. Unlimited soup, salad, && bread sticks. MMM.... perfect for me. :) Then I came home and took a lloonngg shower to cool off. Its ridiculously hot. :/ && then, I cleaned my room and worked on hw. Later during dinner, my sister put on Tin Man. Its a scifi version of the Wizard of Oz with Zoey Deschanell (idk how to spell her name). My sister's obsessed with her. But we didnt finish because we started watching Knowing with nicholas cage. I didnt really like the movie. There were too many creeper alien people on it. Yuchk. no bueno. But, i don have to say that it had good action sequences. So, that was basically my day. Tomorrow will probably be basically exactly the same. I cant WAIT till my summer class is over! Then ill be officially done wit my JC. :D

So, last night I was invited over to my buddy Liz's home for a night of musicals. Well, it was supposed to be four of us but I ended up being the only one who could make it. Anyways, her to younger brothers ended up staying and making us yummy treats (Liz is the ultimate older sister and can get them to do ANYTHING). So we watched Westside Story. :) I love that movie. My dad says it reminds him of when he was younger. BUT, that movie reminds me of a promise I made to my sister......she knows what im talking about. :D Then today.....my family went out to Indian food with tristan's family. :) Well, minus tristan. lol. He had to work today untill 11:30. :/ But, I super enjoyed seeing tiana his sister. We are friends. :) && we are exactly four days apart. Well, that's all for now. The rest of the week ill be working from 8-12 and tristan gets tuesday-thursday off work. Lucky bumn.

"Can I just sleep?"

So, today I worked 10-5. The morning was super fun! We had music playing: Grease soundtrack, Beatles, && Now 29. Mmmm. Yup, I sang loudly to all the songs. :) But then.....after a while the music came off && I started getting sleepy...not good. So for the later half of the shift I was basically a silly, stupid, dorky, zombie walking around. I was a hot mess. Not cute. :)

Sisterhood

Ello. :) This is just a quick update of my day yesterday before I have to run off to work. :/ So, I went to church yesterday and saw my three good childhood friends Melissa, Alisa, && Christine. We are basically the true sisterhood. :)Well, me and christine are going away for college in september So.....I had the idea of going on one last adventure with just the four of us like old times! :) The plans are to go camping on the beach in monterey, bonfires, marshmallows, and aquariums. Super fun&& sooo excited. We need it. Then....Lizzie came over! I hadn't seen her for a whole week! lol. Well, we exchanged stories from the week on top of my roof. Yeah, we're cool. :) I loved hearing about her camp where she was a counselor. && then later......Tristan came over! My terrible missing finally ended. :) We got our favorite green tea ice cream. && Sat on my roof some to look at the lovely clouds and spy on my neighbors (one of them have a soda machine in their backyard). Later, we watched NCIS && The Holiday. I told him I needed to give him a crash-course in chick flicks. After enjoying his AMAZING company, we had to say goodbye. Bummer. But, It always takes us forever to say goodbye. Finally though, he had to leave. Oh! In a couple of weeks, he's going with me and the familia to visit my cousins! I can't wait. Also, cute thing he said, "Why couldn't this (meaning me&him) happen like 5 months ago", I just smiled at him & he said, "Oh, yeah, that was kinda my fault". Silly kid. He also said, "I love how dorky you are. :) It makes me feel more comfortable" I am fairly dorky I must admit. But im okay with that. Okay, well that's all for now. I hope today will be as good. :)

Sabbath Morning

It is Sabbath morning here at home && usually I get to sleep in.....BUT, not today. My papi had to work so I'll be going early to church with my mom. Bummer. Well, I think I need to explain all of my tristan rants. I really do like him a lot. But, when I post is usually at a time when im SUPER missing him. So, hence the over exuberance. :) Anyways, today I am going to church, then lizzie might be coming over after she gets off work, then.....tristan will be coming over. So, hopefully today will be awesome. :)

Today was a fun adventure! In the morning we, me my mama and sister, went shopping at anthropologie && other interesting stores. My sister ended up getting some mega wicked paper at this paper store. Then, we went to Ikea and looked around. In a way, it made me realize just how close i am to moving out and going to University. Im terrified of leaving everyone. But, ill survive. :) After we got home, I took a much needed nap (read previous excited late night post) for around an hour. Then it was time for work at the local fair. Fun. :/ Everyone at work was SUPER lazy. We all just wanted to be home enjoying the weekend. Unfortunately, my lovely plans with my mr. fell through. :( I was/am super bummed. I miss him terribly. I am finally getting just a SUPER tiny feeling of how melissa feels without john lee. Gosh, i couldnt even go a week without seeing him. How pathetic I am. :) Anyways, tomorrow is another day && Im seeing him after he gets off work at 8! Hooray. So, I know that I just posted basically twenty minutes ago. But, that was just because I needed to get that out into the world. :) It is 12:20am on June 10, 2009. I can't sleep for some reason. Idk why....I think im excited. Tomorrow, or should I say today, is promising to be a good day. Shopping in the morning with sister&mama. Then, work for four hours. yay. :/ MONEY. :D &then.....i will HOPEFULLY see tristan! I havent seen him since he left on sunday. I am going to suggest that we go stargazing. My favorite constellation is Orion. :) Well, I think/hope that i will start blogging more. Even though basically nobody reads this nonsense. Ill do it just for me. I want to remember every good thing this summer. ill need it to get me through when im by myself at university. Well, not all by myself. Ill make friends. i hope. Well.....i guess i should probably get some sleep tonight. night loves.

This summer is turning out to be very amazing. :) &promising to maybe turn into a very amazing year. I am incredibly enjoying spending much time with an awesome guy named tristan. This past week he has been gone camping, and it made me realize just how much I like that kidd. Some things I missed the most were: the way he smells, his arm, his laugh :), how dorky we are together, && basically everything else about him. No, we are not 'oficially' together. But, hey, who cares? I like him, he likes me. Very complicated in the most simplistic, uncomplicated way. The night before he left, he came over just to watch a movie. Anyway, I made popcorn & while we were sitting there watching the movie stuffing our mouths (& trust me, i was super stuffing mine), he turned to me to say......"I like you soo much. You are amazing". :) just like that. With a ton of popcorn in my mouth. After saying that, he turned and continued watching the movie. Yeah, I like him. :)
