Oscars' Fashion
Top Three Best Dressed Ladies:
Angelina Jolie:
Even though my sister doesn't especially like her, I think she looked fabulous at the Oscars'. I loved the oober simplicity yet sexyness of her gown. Although, I did think it was hilarious and a waste that she tried to cover up her tattoos. Hunny, if you got them, you might as well show them. I also liked the fact that her earrings were a nice green color. They offset her black dress perfectly.
Penelope Cruz: Okay, so beside the fact that I think its awesome that her gown was all vintagy, it looked amazing. Her hair was simple yet sophisticated. And, I thought her jewelry was the perfect complement to her gown. Yes, some people may disagree with my putting her in the top three (many people believed her dress looked too much like a wedding gown), but common, she mad it work. Overall, I just thought she looked stunning.
Taraji P. Henson:
Whether it was the fact that she shone by her cheerful personality, or by that gorgeous necklace, Taraji definitely made it to my top three. I had never heard of her before that night, but now I want to know more. I loved the soft yet structured look of her gown. And seriously, can I mention that diamond necklace again?
What was she thinking? awards go to:
Mylie Cyrus:
Umn.........yeah. She looked like a huge silver mess. Not very classy.
Jessica Biel:So, I'm still not sure exactly what it was supposed to be. At first, during the Oscars' I thought it was a really poor fitting dress, but now that I look at the pictures, it almost looks like a jump suit. Oh, and not to mention, many people are now starting gossip that she was hoping to cover a baby bump with that awkward bow.... Hmn......

Couscous Salad for Melissa
1 (10-ounce) box dry plain couscous
1 (16-ounce) bag frozen white or yellow corn, thawed and drained
1 (15-ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained
4 medium green onions, sliced (white and green parts) (I like to use one red onion instead because I don't like green onion)
1 medium red bell pepper, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
Juice of 2 lemons (1/4 cup)
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
Coarsely ground black pepper
1. Prepare couscous according to package directions. To cool quickly, spread the couscous on a large baking sheet in a thin layer and let stand for 10 minutes.
2. Combine cooled couscous, corn, beans, green onions, bell pepper and garlic in a bowl; mix gently. Add lemon juice and olive oil; toss well. Season with salt and pepper. Serves 12 (unless your like my food eating family of four)
Enjoy! :)
